By combining our heavy attacks with right-mouse and our skills on the number bar, we’re able to deliver devastating but beautiful dances of destruction. Their attacks do little on our health, but our attacks strike them down in one or two hits of the left-mouse button.
We move our way through hordes of blood-thirsty enemies. Despite being a major instance-based battle, our introduction to the world of war-torn Bersia is purely action focused. And so our journey began: Miss MSPoweruser was immediately thrust into battle alongside an impressive army of mindless NPC soldiers. She loved her name, or at least she never complained. We started out with a Spellsword: in our infinite bouts of creativity her name became MSPoweruser. We’re told that a sixth class, The Dark Sorceress, will arrive post-launch. Unfortunately, we’re not sure it’s what everyone wants to play.Īs soon as we start we’re introduced to the five classes: the melee-and-firearm Gunslinger the magical-melee Spellsword the rage-filled Berserker the pure-mage Elementalist and the dagger-and-bow Ranger. We’re glad the team has found their perfect balance: the developers appear confident that KUF2 is the game they’ve always wanted to make. Throughout our time with the title, we’re told that it’s been a tough time to find the perfect balance between MMO, Hack-and-Slash and RTS.
With developer Blueside and publisher Gameforge finally ready to show off their decade-plus of hard work, we finally got to see the title in action. There's no specific date yet, but Kingdom Under Fire 2 will be available for PC later this year.After 12 years of development and $80 million spent, Kingdom Under Fire 2 is finally getting a full release. Here's the most recent trailer from PlayStation's official YouTube channel from back at E3 2015, so it might be outdated, but it should give you an idea of what to expect. However, it does seem any console version is no longer on the cards, as Gameforge have clarified as per their announcement post that they are strictly announcing a PC release. The game finally saw limited and beta releases in Russia and South Korea, but this will be the first time the game has come to the West. News on the game went dead for a while, until 2013 when a PlayStation 4 version was announced. However, it ended up facing many, many roadblocks, including a version for Xbox 360 scheduled for 2010 which never came to pass, and a PS3 version announced by Sony Entertainment themselves that also never saw the light of day was supposed to arrive in 2012. It's been a long, long time coming, with the game first revealed by developer Blueside studios all the way back in 2008 when it was set to come to 'consoles and PC'. Publisher Gameforge has announced that it is finally bringing massively multiplayer RTS hybrid Kingdom Under Fire II to North America and Europe later in 2019, some eleven years after the game was originally announced.
